WHERE TF IS MITCH MCCONNELL?

Advertising Policy

Effective August 3, 2026 · Last updated August 3, 2026

This Policy applies to banner ads, native sponsored placements, sidebar sponsorships, landing pages, advertiser claims, and related targeting or measurement.

1. Review and labeling

All advertising is subject to review and may be rejected, paused, modified, or removed at the operator’s discretion, including for quality, safety, legal, reputational, or user-experience reasons. Approval of one campaign does not guarantee future approval.

Paid placements must be clearly identified as “Advertisement,” “Sponsored,” or “Promoted.” Ads may not imitate ordinary posts, system notices, moderation messages, voting controls, or account alerts.

2. Accuracy and transparency

Ads, landing pages, and advertiser identities must be accurate, current, and not misleading. Material terms, prices, recurring charges, endorsements, risks, limitations, and eligibility requirements must be disclosed clearly. Advertisers may be required to verify their identity, authority, funding source, or licenses.

3. Prohibited advertising

  • Illegal products, services, or activity.
  • Threats, hate, harassment, exploitation, or glorification of violence.
  • Weapons, instructions facilitating harm, or illicit drugs.
  • Fraud, scams, impersonation, deceptive financial promises, or misleading fundraising.
  • Malware, phishing, unauthorized surveillance, credential collection, or circumvention tools.
  • Sexual exploitation, nonconsensual intimate material, or products directed unlawfully to minors.
  • Counterfeit goods or infringement of copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
  • False medical claims or unapproved products presented as safe or effective.
  • Ads that suppress lawful voting, misstate voting procedures, or falsely claim an election result.

4. Restricted categories

Alcohol, gambling, financial services, cryptocurrency, healthcare, supplements, political fundraising, issue advocacy, and age-restricted products may require licenses, age or location restrictions, additional disclosures, substantiation, and advance written approval. Some categories may be declined entirely.

Advertisers must comply with all laws where an ad is shown and where the product or service is offered.

5. Political and issue advertising

Political or issue ads must disclose the responsible sponsor and may require verification of the advertiser and funding source. They may not contain materially deceptive claims, impersonation, voter suppression, undisclosed synthetic media, or targeting designed to discriminate unlawfully.

The operator may impose blackout periods, geographic limits, archive requirements, or a complete moratorium on political advertising. Editorial discussion and user posts are governed separately by the Terms and Community Guidelines.

6. Targeting and data use

Advertisers may not target, exclude, or discriminate unlawfully based on protected characteristics or exploit sensitive information such as precise location, health status, financial hardship, private political activity, or information about children. Advertisers may not combine site-derived data with outside data to identify users without explicit permission and a lawful basis.

7. Creative and technical standards

Ads must be legible, functional, professionally presented, and appropriate for the placement. Prohibited techniques include flashing or strobing content, forced redirects, misleading buttons, auto-downloads, excessive animation, inaudible controls, or audio that starts without user action.

Advertisers must provide assets that fit the approved banner, native-feed, or sidebar dimensions and must not exceed technical limits communicated for the campaign.

8. Landing pages and advertiser responsibility

Landing pages must work, match the ad’s offer, use secure connections where sensitive information is collected, and provide required business, privacy, refund, and contact disclosures. Advertisers remain responsible for their ads, claims, products, customer service, legal compliance, and third-party vendors.

9. Enforcement and changes

Violations may result in rejection, removal, loss of payment, account restriction, or suspension of advertising access. Serious suspected illegality or safety threats may be referred to authorities. This Policy may be updated as the advertising program, law, or risk environment changes.
